I pride myself on offering bespoke and individualised pathways, suited to the needs of your child, your family and your specific context.

If you want to work with me, but cannot see something below that ideally suits you, do get in touch to explore options.

1-1 packages- Online

In person opportunities available in North Birmingham.

Resilient learners don’t need pressure – they need the self-belief to navigate stronger currents, in their own time and on their own terms.

For many, these options can represent a chronological path through KS3-KS5, but I strongly advocate for meeting teens where they are at. The families I work with want structured and clear options towards academic success, nurturing aspirational goals, but something that is more flexible and patient.

So find the language below that most resonates…..

GROW

Core literacy skills and creative outcomes

A tailored space to rebuild confidence and curiosity- restoring joy in learning with a student-led, holistic approach.

Curriculum possibilities:

We prioritise rapport and emotional safety through storytelling, discussion, and explore the possibilities of language.

We might start with a story, audiobook or poem that peaks their interests, and build from there- leading to creative writing or a presentation-based project.

Best for:

• Students who are struggling with the transition to secondary

• Neurodivergent learners experiencing overwhelm

• Home educating families who want autonomy and freedom, but need meaningful starting points

RECONNECT

Socio-emotional literacy alongside academic challenge

For burnt-out but ambitious teens, rebuilding trust in learning; academic skills focusing on self-expression, identity and self-advocacy.

Curriculum possibilities:

We build momentum with thoughtful routines, real-world texts, and reflective dialogue. Analysis of texts and purposeful writing is grounded in the real world, acknowledging future goals but with healthy engagement as the priority.

Best for:

• Home educated teens who eventually want to complete their exams, but need the added TLC

• Students returning to learning after anxiety or EBSA

• Learners needing scaffolded independence and a sense of ownership

REACH

Patient, SEND-friendly GCSE and A-Level support

Academic mentorship meets rigour – with space for questions, creativity and ambition.

Curriculum possibilities:

Rich texts; critical-thinking; personal goal-setting with self-compassion; consistent feedback in line with examination requirements; optional independent learning and self-directed practice.

Best for:

• For ambitious teens working towards GCSE and A Level- without pressure or perfectionism

• Neurodivergent students wanting emotionally intelligent tuition

• High-ability or highly sensitive teens needing stretch without pressure

Many families arrive unsure- and that’s okay.

These pathways help us get started with shared expectations, but we’ll shape the journey together.

A seminar series for reflective teens: English with depth, dialogue and soul.

With my experience as an examiner for English Language and Literature, I have designed this scheme with core skills in mind for leading towards examination success.

BUT- This is not an ‘exam strategy’ unit- it is about the real-world skills that students need to thrive, curating their inner voice, connecting with others, and finding powerful outlets for self expression.

Curriculum:
  • Term 1- Poetry and stories from diverse voices. Multi-media analysis. Exploring our interests and passions, instigating our independent writing portfolio.
  • Term 2- Speaking and listening with heart and passion- speech, poetry and article-writing (supporting outcomes for Language Paper 2)- response to student passions and interesting topics of today.
